PINK FLOYD 'ATOM HEART MOTHER' BATH FESTIVAL 1970
This rare interview was conducted by the late
J.J. Jackson a well known American DJ and MTV VJ
who was also a long-time friend of the group.
Recorded on August 12, 1979 at the group's hotel,
the day after what would be Led Zeppelin's
last-ever British gig.
At approx. 2 am on Sunday, 28th of June 1970, in a typical British
summer drizzle, history was made. Pink Floyd, now minus the
charismatic Syd Barrett, were reparing to preview, for the first time
in Britain ‘Atom Heart Mother’their most ambitious work to date.
The mono film is rather grainy but very watchable with excellent sound
Rare BBC footage which includes interviews with Tom Paxton,James
Taylor etc also an improptu performance by Sonny Terry and
Brownie McGhee in the back of their limo on the way to the festival
